What's New at Furnace Creek Resort
Xanterra Harnesses Death Valley Sun by Constructing Tourism Industry's Largest Solar PV System
Xanterra Parks & Resorts has just completed one of the largest solar photovoltaic (PV) energy systems in the United States. Covering five acres of Southern California’s Death Valley National Park – a 3.3 million-acre park that is the sunniest place in the country – the one megawatt (MW) system will generate more than one-third of the total annual electricity needs of Xanterra’s operations in Death Valley, including the historic Furnace Creek Inn, Furnace Creek Ranch, Furnace Creek Golf Course, employee offices and housing. Furnace Creek Ranch Swimming Pool
Since its recent renovation, the Furnace Creek Ranch swimming pool has been a place of enjoyment for many of our guests. The pool is a spring-fed flow through pool with beautiful, clear blue water that enters the pool at a constant 84 degrees year round. At the west end of the pool area, a shade structure provides relief from the Death Valley sun. This pool is an extremely popular amenity and a truly first class facility.
California Highway 190
This scenic highway provides the most direct access to the park from the south, serving visitors from southern California and southern Nevada.
